Operating the camera

Watch the video on how to use and trouble shoot Paper Shoot Camera.

How do I take a picture and use filters?

To take a picture on a Paper Shoot Camera, press the button on the front of the camera. There will be a short pause, then you will see the light at the back of the camera flash once, and the capture sound will play.

To take a picture with the different filter settings, you will find the toggle switch at the back of the camera. This will allow you to switch the filter from colour, black & white, green tint or blue tint.

How do I take a video/time lapse?

10 seconds of 1080P video

In order to switch the mode from photo to video, you must connect the camera to a power supply (e.g. power bank) with the USB cable provided with your camera.

Once you connect your camera to the power source, toggle the filter view to the 4th setting.

Timelapse

In order to switch the mode from photo to video, you must connect the camera to a power supply (e.g. power bank) with the USB cable provided with your camera.

Once you connect your camera to the power source, toggle the filter view to the 3rd setting.

How do I swap the lenses?

Our lens effects can be changed very easily! Just take off the lens cap, and the magnetic attachment at the bottom, and your lens will fit directly on the front of your camera by magnetics.

Trouble Shoot

How do I trouble shoot the camera?

For any malfunctions happening, please check your camera with the following steps first:

  1. Remove the batteries, leave the SD card in the camera board.
  2. Connect the camera from the micro USB port to a power bank with the cable provided. (*Do not use PC/Laptop)
  3. Make sure the filter switch is on the FIRST mode, then press the shutter.
  4. If there is a capture sound, this means there is no issue with the camera board itself.

Please check the following thereafter: -

  1. You are using FULLY CHARGED rechargeable batteries (LADDA rechargeable batteries from IKEA is highly recommended, most of the time once customers switch to LADDA, the camera will be ok).
  2. You are using a standard size SD card or microSD with a standard size adapter.
  3. The SD card is in the front slot, is a non-wifi SD card and not bigger than 32GB.
  4. You have reformatted the SD card.

If your answer is YES to all of the above and the issue still persists, then do make an appointment with us to come down to our office for a review.

Our office is at WCEGA Tower, #12-79. Operating hours are 10.30am to 5pm.

Why are the lights flashing on my camera?

Firstly, please do the following camera test:-

If the camera test is ok - means no issue with the camera board itself. This means the issue lies with batteries or SD card.

Please confirm the following:-

What if you just put in new batteries?

We highly suggest using rechargeable batteries, as they are better quality and stay charged up for longer. Sometimes batteries that you just purchase from the store can already be in the “low battery” stage. This can happen due to shelf time, sunlight, temperature they are stored in etc.

We highly recommend LADDA rechargeable batteries from IKEA.

If you are already using rechargeable batteries, please let your batteries charge for at least 3-4 hours before using.
